How you can help the victims of the Alabama tornados

My fellow coupon blogger Kristen over at Couponing to Disney lives in Tuscaloosa, AL. She and her family rode out the tornados on Wednesday in the hallway of their home and were lucky enough to survive with their house almost completely intact. However as you know from news reports most of the region was not so lucky. Kristen blogged this morning asking for desperately needed donations for people who have lost everything. Below is a list of items you can mail.

toothpaste
toothbrushes
shampoo
conditioner
soap
deodorant
dishwashing soap
laundry detergent
hand sanitizer
clothing in all sizes
shoes in all sizes
blankets
small toys for displaced children
ziploc bags
bandaids and other first aid products
feminine products
baby formula
diapers
baby food
toilet paper
Kleenex
food
individual juices
pet food and treats
etc

You can mail donations to her local church who will distribute them to those in need. The address is

Disaster Relief
c/o First Baptist Church
Moody, AL 35004

The post office has great flat rate mailing boxes that you can fill to the brim for just $11 or $15. If every one of my 139 Facebook fans could send just one box we could help to make a real difference.
